Roofing in Bateau Bay: the 70s–80s restoration wave
Bateau Bay built out through the 70s and 80s, and its concrete-tile roofs are now hitting 40–50 years almost in unison — faded surfaces, cracked pointing, the first leaks. It's one of our busiest restoration suburbs for exactly that reason. Position matters here: streets near the beach and headlands take real salt and benefit from marine-minded detailing, while the national-park edges trade salt for leaf litter and shade moss. Tile-to-metal conversions are increasingly popular as owners renovate these solid family homes for their next 40 years.
